Prime Video unveils full Spider-Noir trailer with dual black-and-white and color cuts

Prime Video debuted the full trailer for its live-action Spider-Noir series at CCXPMX26 in Mexico City, releasing it in two parallel formats: a Raymond Chandler-styled black-and-white version and a color cut the showrunners are branding True Hue. The dual-format approach mirrors the strategy used for the February teaser and leans into the noir aesthetic that defines the source material.

The series adapts Marvel’s 2009 Noir comics line, which reimagines familiar characters in a Depression-era alternate universe. Notably, the protagonist is not Peter Parker. Co-showrunner Oren Uziel, a film noir devotee, deemed the Parker character too tied to a boyish high-school archetype to fit the tone, so Nicolas Cage instead plays Ben Reilly — a worn-down 1930s New York private investigator moonlighting as the city’s lone superhero, The Spider. Cage previously voiced a version of Spider-Noir in the animated Spider-Verse films and is set to reprise that role in Beyond the Spider-Verse.
