The kit ships viewers for PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and CSV files alongside supporting pieces like file upload and e-signing workflows, positioning itself as a drop-in layer for user-facing products, internal tools, and agent interfaces.

The standout feature for AI builders is bounding box citations: the viewers can highlight the exact region of a source document that a piece of extracted or generated text came from. That capability has become table stakes for document-AI products, where users need to verify model output against the underlying file, but it’s notoriously tedious to implement across multiple formats. Packaging it as reusable open-source components lowers the barrier for teams shipping retrieval or extraction features.
