Adobe Launches AI Assistant That Orchestrates Workflows Across Creative Cloud Apps

Adobe is rolling out Firefly AI Assistant, a chat-based interface that can coordinate complex, multi-step projects spanning Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and other Creative Cloud applications. Unlike the company’s previous in-app AI features, which operated within individual tools, this assistant orchestrates entire workflows across the suite - checking in with users for feedback and allowing mid-task course corrections.

The approach mirrors what agentic coding tools like Claude Code have done for software development: experienced users can offload repetitive multi-app tasks, while newcomers get a lower barrier to entry for tools that have historically demanded steep learning curves. The interface is primarily conversational but dynamically presents contextual controls like sliders depending on what the user is working on.

This represents Adobe’s clearest move yet toward an agent-style paradigm for creative work, where the AI doesn’t just generate assets on command but actively manages and sequences operations across applications.
